OOC: As we move to one week and counting to ICC Forsaken 2007, expect more teasers...and perhaps a few questions along the way.
What will this year's Hunt be about?
What will this year's Hunt be about?
Quick post this time:
The offer to help both New Changer PCs and 'high-renown in your Auspice' PCs remains open.
In particular, the Forsaken ST team is currently looking for:
Elodoth with high Honor (4-5)
Cahalith with high Glory (4-5)
New Changers of any kind (this is a great chance to get those newer players you have in your Forsaken venue a chance to shine at this year's ICC event, or perhaps a moment to introduce a new PC who's -just- changed...)
If you're interested, contact the Venue Lead Storyteller, Erik Blair, at:

This post is mainly for local STs, but players are welcome to know this as well:
In case you are not aware, there are four (4) pre-ICC plotkits that are available for local games to run that are designed to give players some pre-ICC event knowledge of events leading up to this year's ICC.
Those plotkits are called, respectively:
"The Hunt Begins"
"Duty is Always Watching"
"The Enemies Turn"
"The Pushers"
All plotkits have been put in the CRD and should be available to any ST that uses that system. For those who do not use the CRD, the plotkits have been released to the various affiliate ANST-Forsaken (or equivalent).
Should all else fail, and you are an ST who wants to use these plotkits, you can get them from either the AMST Forsaken, Jim Fisher, at:
aamstforsaken at gmail dot com
or from myself, the ICC Forsaken Venue Lead Storyteller, Erik Blair, at:
storyteller at gmail dot com
All of these local plotkits are designed to be integrated into your local game however best works for the players, while giving them some insight into the events that will come to a head at ICC 2007.
Enjoy!

"The time is coming soon."
Ancient Builder looked up from the fire spirits that swirled around him in the cave, a Shadow-echo of the fire that he had built on the other side before crossing over. Spirits of cold, snow and ice swirled outside but were no match for the power of the fire spirits inside this little pocket burrowed thirty or so feet deep into a mountain spirit. Builder had wondered, once, whether the mountain spirit would even feel this hole in itself. But nearly three years of attempting to communicate with the spirit had proven to him that their scope of existence was far beyond even his long years.
That could not be said for the lune that now spun in the air in front of him. It spoke nearly too fast to follow, even with his hard-earned knowledge of the speech of spirits. At least this time, he was ready--after all, it was the fire spirits that had called it. The fire spirits he had brought along to be strengthened by the real fire across the Gauntlet.
"I have what you have asked for," Builder said, replying in the tongue all spirits understood. And indeed, he did--more Essence stored in stones than any of his pack had ever seen before, gathered over nearly a years' time. He glanced down at the other items the lune had requested. Precious stones--a diamond, a ruby, an opal, a sapphire and an emerald--although he was unclear, even still, what purpose they could serve a lune.
"Call forth the Essence you have gathered," the lune called out, spinning around Builder like the wooden toy he'd given to his grandchild not a year earlier, before the human authorities had come to take her away. Her and a great many others who still believed as he once had. "Pour each kind into one of the stones. Then call forth the spirit that will reside in the stone."
Builder suddenly understood what the lune was suggesting, and was astonished. These would become powerful, indeed--perhaps even powerful enough to change what was happening in his hometown. What was happening to those family members he still had. He chuckled softly to himself. Perhaps, even now, he had not completely lost the hope that his family's religion instilled in all of its members.
"When you have completed the task before you, anything can be possible." Builder looked up at the lune, once more wondering whether the spirit had read his mind. Maybe it had just been watching him--or his family--or simply recognized the changes being wrought in the Shadow by the conflict happening in the real world. Then again, maybe it was just saying something because it felt it should. Who could tell with lunes?
"Will this be enough to end the madness the humans have brought to my lands?" Builder asked as he began to coax the Essence out of the stones. "Will this save my kind here as well as the family I and so many of my pack have here?"
"The potential is great. The likelihood is small. The duty is yours and so is the choice." The lune danced one more revolution around Builder and then vanished. Builder shook his head, wishing just once that the lunes would give a simple answer to a simple question.
Then again, perhaps the lunes had restrictions on how they could act, restrictions placed there by their Master, Luna. Ancient Builder understood the concept of having restrictions on how one had to act. It had been ingrained in him long before his First Change...

The Location of this year's Forsaken gathering will be:
Franklin, Tennessee
About 40 miles Southwest of Nashville, Tennessee, there is a 100-acre tur known to all the packs of the region. Nashville itself is known to be an extremely deadly area for werewolves of any kind to go, and even the locals avoid that city. They do, however, gather out here when it is time to meet, knowing that this place is far enough from mortal eyes to allow them to truly be themselves.
The reason for the gathering will become apparent IC very soon (and will then be added to this entry, once it's happened IC.)
